Teceruma Spa & Salon, The way a spa should be

De-stressing and revitalizing the mind, body and spirit… This is the way a spa should be.

Teceruma Spa & Salon conveniently located at the 6th floor of BSA Twin Towers in Ortigas Center offers a wide range of world-class spa and salon services that would surely soothe your tired body, release your tension and relax your mind at affordable prices.

Teceruma Spa & Salon, the way a spa should beTeceruma boasts of its well-loved massage called Teceruma signature massage. It's a 90-minute massage which is a combination of different techniques and procedures such as Raindrop Therapy, Reiki energy therapy, Dragonfly stroke, Lomi-lomi, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Thai massage, and the traditional Pinoy hilot, among others.

Teceruma signature massage is the newest innovation in spa services developed by Teceruma's Chief Operating officer herself, Ms. Tess Herbst, a certified spaholic.

Married to a traveling businessman, Ms. Tess travels around the world and gets every opportunity to try spa services offered in different countries.

"Every now and then I try and study the spa services, the techniques and procedures in other countries.

I pick the best and apply them in my own spa. That's how I came up with Teceruma signature massage, it's a combination of the best techniques in many parts of the world," Ms. Tess says with pride.

Teceruma Spa & Salon, the way a spa should beA certified spa executive, Ms. Tess had work as spa supervisor for 20 years in the best spas in Philippine hotels including that of New World Hotel. Thus, she had set her mind of having a world-class spa of her own.

But Teceruma Spa and Salon, barely six months in the market, is a spa with a twist. It exists with the purpose of teaching, training and eventually employing others especially those who are considered "old" for employment by Philippine standard.

Ms. Tess came up with this advocacy when she came to live with her husband in the United States. She noticed that many senior citizens still do a lot and work to earn a living.

"They seem to be strong and are active and happy with their life working. In fact, my physical fitness trainer herself is 80 years old but she still goes to the gym for workout.

And so I said to myself that when I set up my spa business, I would be employing "old people" for as long as they can and are willing to work," Ms. Tess explains.

On hand to support Ms. Tess in her advocacy are her business partners composed of her immediate relatives.

"Teceruma is a family business. Teceruma stands for Tess, Cecille, Ruth and Mayeth. We are here to help each other and help others as well, Ms. Tess ends with a smile.
